Four talented female artists reflect their wisdom and strength during "Herspective", which is running at Art Connection, 3rd floor of Rosewood Bangkok Hotel, Phloenchit Road, until May 31.

Held to mark International Women's Day by SAC Gallery, the exhibition features 10 unique artworks of various techniques by Thidarat Chantachua, Praiya Ketkool, Thanathorn Suppakijjumnong and Aor Sutthiprapha who are considered representatives of the contemporary art scene of Thailand.

Thanathorn used a rare antique typewriter to create two artworks of high-quality awagami paper from Japan for the "Together" series which explores political issues in Thailand.

Thidarat presents the harmonious dynamics between Thai culture and her Islamic faith in her two unusual paintings on fabric whose surfaces are delicately and precisely woven with threads to show the bonds among all Muslims.

Meanwhile, the three acrylic paintings of grasses and leaves by Praiya show her immense effort with tiny objects as she uses a sharp paintbrush to create compositions speaking to the universality of nature.

Last but not least, Aor used Thai clay to hand-build three sophisticated and strong works which, when viewed from one perspective, are simple cylinders. However, when viewers look from a different angle, they are revealed as folded paper.
