A collaboration by the French and Mexican embassies, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and the UN Women Regional Office of Asia and the Pacific, the virtual event will discuss women's economic empowerment through the experiences of civil society, government agencies and the private sector.

It will feature presentations, a sharing of audio-visual content and a multi-stakeholder panel discussion to facilitate the exchange of information, good practices and lessons learned to enhance knowledge of participatory gender-responsive approaches to the design, implementation and monitoring of women's economic empowerment measures.

Speaking at the online dialogue will be Thais Malave, COO of the Mexican Institute of Family and Population Research; Magali du Parc, executive director of Baan Dek Foundation; Nunnaree Luangmoi, executive director of the Center For Girls Foundation; Sharon Fisher, president of Soroptimist International; and Arrada Mahamitra, secretariat of the Asean Women Entrepreneurs Network.

Thematically relevant content will then be showcased via an audio-visual open digital platform, "Watch Empowerment", from tomorrow to Sunday. It will host films, documentaries, short films and videos about women's economic empowerment initiatives. The platform can be accessed at the Mexican Cultural Diplomacy Online Channel for Thailand at diplomaciacultural.mx/canal/tailandia.
