The first make-up collection by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele was launched along with a campaign featuring images and a video by British photographer Martin Parr.

In the video, a character watches a TV programme and commercial break conveying the message "Be bold. Be bright. Be beautiful" through Gucci Beauty's lipsticks.

Following the same storyline, a new film shot by American photographer Jordan Hemingway features a female protagonist lounging on her bed watching an 80s style commercial dedicated to the new Rouge De Beauté Brillant lipsticks.

The Gucci Beauty lip product range includes a balm and three lipsticks with a luminous, satin or matte finish.

Michele designed Rouge De Beauté Brillant as a nourishing balm with pigmentation of the same level as a lipstick. It provides a luminous glowing finish and long-lasting shine, and is defined as an in-between for a sheer and satin lipstick.

Available in 15 shades, the hybrid lipstick is formulated based on a precise combination of flower oils, fruit butters and hyaluronic acid. Oils from black rose, peony and jojoba seed as well as karité butter moisturise the lips. The addition of hyaluronic acid provides immediate and long-lasting hydration along with a plumping effect.

The number of coats applied intensifies the colour. A single swipe gives a subtle glow, while three layers result in high-impact shine, colour and intense hydration.

The creative director's passion for collectable objects is reflected in the case's black and gold motif inspired by vintage brooches.
