A selection of 19 paintings from the 2021 "UOB Painting of the Year" competition are displayed on the first floor of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Pathumwan intersection, until Nov 28.

Titled "2021 UOB POY (Thailand) Winners' Showcase", the exhibition showcases the creativity and imagination of 19 contestants who made their way to the final round where eight of them won the awards.

The spotlight is on Through Land Of Happiness, an acrylic and collage on canvas by Vachira Kornthong who won the UOB Painting of the Year Award in the established artist category. He will represent the country to compete with winners from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore in the 2021 "UOB Southeast Asian Painting of the Year".

Standpoint No.2, a sticker on canvas by Jeanjira Khodchawat has earned her the Most Promising Artist of the Year Award in the emerging artist category. It's exhibited alongside three other paintings that won the gold, silver and bronze awards in the same category.
