A group of industrial hemp experts will get together for the first time during "Thailand Cann D-Day 2021" which will take place at the Quartier Gallery, M floor of EmQuartier, from tomorrow to Sunday.

Held to mark the launch of the Thai Industrial Hemp Trade Association, the event is an opportunity to learn about cannabis plants which have the potential to be the economic salvation of Thailand in the future and also the multiple health benefits of hemp and marijuana from experts.

Activities will be presented on all five days, starting at 11am. Highlights include a talk on hemp-based fabric in the Thai market and a fashion show titled "From Heaven To Earth" featuring Miss Tourism World Thailand 2021 on the catwalk tomorrow at 2.15pm; and a talk on innovative technologies in Thai hemp on Thursday at 2pm.

Scheduled for Friday will be a "CANN Food Certified Workshop" offering training and certifications to restaurants and vendors who safely utilise industrial hemp in their products. Then, learn how to add value to restaurant dishes and also medical diet in a talk before two actors give a cooking demonstration using hemp as an ingredient.

Also featured in the programme are a talk on hemp and health tourism on Saturday at 2.30pm and another talk on the hemp and the cosmetics industry on Sunday at 1.15pm.

A number of hemp-based menus including the "stand-up" meatballs of Buri Ram province, as well as numerous hemp products will be available.
