An impressive line-up of imaginative works of art from the "Thai Art And Literature Contest Year 15" are showcased in an online exhibition to pass on positive energy and encouragement to all viewers.

Orgnised by Intouch Holdings, the art contest received more than 1,000 entries from primary to undergraduate students from across the country. They were required to express their ideas and creativity through visual art based on their favourite pieces of literature under one of two themes -- "High Morale Creates Great Power" and "Giving Satisfaction To Both Givers And Receivers".

Forty-four entries were picked and awarded scholarships totalling 1.4 million baht while top winners of the high school and undergraduate categories received trophies from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

Among the 44 winning entries, 14 are from the primary category, another 14 from the junior high-school category, eight from the high school category, and another eight from the undergraduate category.

Top winning pieces of the four categories include Cruising To See Glow-worms Dance At Amphawa Canal by Natwara Sanewirush (primary school); Mahajanaka by Siraphop Ruypring (junior high-school); Life by Teerapat Promchai (high school); and New Composition by Siriroj Kotwongsa (undergraduate).

All 44 entries were picked by the six-member judging panel comprising national artists and big names in the Thai art and literature community. They include Chalermchai Kositpipat, Panya Vijinthanasarn, Sangkom Thongmee, Sathianpong Wannapok, Naovarat Pongpaiboon and Tawatchai Somkong.

The winning artworks are also available for purchase online with all proceeds going towards the Princess Sirindhorn Foundation for the "Graduates Return Home" project, which grants scholarships to underprivileged students with good academic records.
