Pet Expo Championship 2022, one of the year's most-anticipated pet fairs, will be held at Bitec Bangna from Thursday to Sunday.
The four-day event, organised by NCC Management and Development, features various pet shows and competitions and offers an extensive range of products and services from more than 300 exhibitors.
Pet lovers and animal enthusiasts can expect to find exotic creatures such as an Albano coati, a raccoon-like, all-white diurnal mammal native to Central and South America; a bush baby (aka galago or night monkey), a small nocturnal primate native to sub-Sahara Africa; and a meerkat, a southern African mongoose, among the highlighted.
Also exhibited are grandiose three-horned Jackson chameleons; crowntail Siamese fighting fish; and the Polish, a European breed of chickens known for its remarkable crest of feathers.
Visitors who have a soft spot for furry cuddly animals are guaranteed to fall head over heels at the cat, ferret, miniature pot-bellied pig and prairie dogs zones.
Meanwhile highlights of the Rabbit and Cavy zone include red New Zealand rabbits, Netherland dwarf rabbits, Holland lops and various types of cavies such as guinea pigs and skinny, an incredibly adorable hairless guinea pig.
For the competitions, a Fun Show Cat and Main Coon Contest by the Cat Fanciers' Association and a Bearded Dragon Pogona Lizard Contest will be held for the first time in Thailand.
On Saturday, a dynamic line-up of activities includes Dog High Jump Championship, Bengal Cat contest and a series of ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders' Association) certified contests. The Dog Agility Championship and Zig Zag Championship are held on Sunday.
The event will also feature many games and stage talks, covering subjects from pet health to pet lifestyles to snakes, by animal experts and pet influencers.
At the 5,400m² fair, visitors can expect to find numerous brands of pet food, clothing and toys as well as medical supplies and services, including pet spas, hotels, hospitals and innovative pet-care technologies.
The Pet Expo Championship 2022 will be held from 10am to 8pm at Hall 100 of Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Bitec) on Bang Na-Trat Road.
