‘Taco Fest BKK’ is back with a 20-day taco hopping experience, supported by the Embassy of Mexico in Thailand, to celebrate Mexican gastronomy.
In Mexico, the street food scene is as popular as in Thailand with tacos being the ultimate street food that you can have all throughout the day or night to satisfy any cravings. This year’s ‘Taco Fest BKK’ aims to promote Mexican food and its variations, by bringing new and existing flavours to the city. From Nov 1-20, taco lovers can taste creations from traditional recipes such as birria, carnitas and pastor to the most creative fusions like avocado tempura (vegetarian), MexiThai ‘krapow’ and rib-eye.
There will be 13 Taco special sets of 3 tacos each, created for the festival. While hopping around the participant restaurants, taco lovers will have the opportunity to collect points per visit and redeem them for rewards and giveaways. Interactions on social media platforms will include a ‘Taco Challenge’, which reaps delicious rewards.
Participating restaurants are Mexicano Restaurante Autentico, La Lupita, Cali-Mex (Silom), Cholos BKK (Truck), The Missing Burro, Taco Bell (Sukhumvit 11 and Mercury Ville), La Hefa Mexican Gril, Tortilla Quemada, Wraptor (Sukhumvit 71), The Spotted Pig, Bowlito (Sathorn Square), La Monita Taqueria (Ploen Chit), and Sensii Terrace by TQ.
Pair your tacos with sponsored drinks from Corona (a limited number of free drinks for registered users), follow your favourite influencers provided by Instants.AI to get special promos and rewards from El Charro and Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers.
