Asia's first pop-up Dairy Queen offers more than just soft serves

Dairy Queen, the American soft-serve ice cream chain, is welcoming the holiday season with a colourful pop-up in front of CentralWorld, the first of its kind in Asia. Dairy Queen, the American soft-serve ice cream chain, is welcoming the holiday season with a colourful pop-up in front of CentralWorld, the first of its kind in Asia.

The temporary store, which opens until Dec 30, isn't only about treats as it also offers fun activities. Special flavours are available only at this location, including "Overload Sundae" and "Overload Blizzard". Customers can mix and match their own ice cream. Start with a choice of texture either the signature soft cream or the blizzard ice cream and then add up to eight toppings from more than 20 options such as KitKat, almonds, sticky rice in coconut milk and caramel popcorn for the starting price of B115.

Customers can use the store's photo corner to check in on social media. This comes with a design gimmick that stacks Dairy Queen's signature ice cream cones in a colourful arch. Share photos or videos on social media with the hashtag #HappyDQ to earn tokens to play the crane game machine for a chance to win a limited-edition Dairy Queen merch.

Demonstrate special abilities in front of the AI kiosk, such as dancing, singing or speaking in an unusual way. Whoever performs exceptionally well will receive discounts for shopping in this pop-up store from Fridays to Sundays from 5-8pm.

Thailand’s top celebrities such as the Power Puff Gay gang, Tui Tui Putthachat, Aof Pongsak and Ping Pong Thongchai will stop by at the store to demonstrate their skills at the AI kiosk on Dec 3, 10, 17 and 24.

Find the Dairy Queen pop-up store at Square B, the first store next to the Christmas tree in front of CentralWorld from 4-10pm. More info at dairyqueenthailand.com.
