Once stigmatised, tattoos are now celebrated as a bold form of artistic self-expression, and KVD has been transforming tattoo artistry into its own similarly expressive make-up and beauty products since 2008.

Rebranded in March 2021 as KVD Beauty, the San Francisco-based brand's latest chapter is defined by Miryam Lumpini, its first global director of tattoo artistry. Lumpini grew up in the Swedish countryside and emigrated to the US to pursue her passion of becoming a tattoo artist.

Her hand-drawn illustrations have been reproduced for packaging of the new Moongarden collection released for the festive season and lunar new year.

Lumpini fashioned the limited-edition Moongarden Eyeshadow Palette with 12 highly pigmented smooth matte, glimmering satin and creamy metallic shades.

The line's eye make-up comes in shades of ruby red or intense green formulated with brilliant flecks of vegan pearls. Application is with a swipe of the easy-to-use Dazzle Vegan Eyeshadow Sticks providing multidimensional shimmer without the mess of loose glitter.

For its award-winning Tattoo Pencil Liner, KVD Beauty combines ink-like pigment with needle-sharp precision. The long-wear gel formula, in two new metallic shades of Electrum Gold and Bronzite Gold, can be used to wing, smudge or line the eyes.

The pigment-packed and hydrating Everlasting Hyperlight Liquid Lipsticks feature vibrant colours such as rust-red Cobra Lily or edgy Black Briar.

Development and production of KVD Beauty's vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics are complemented by sustainable practices including use of recyclable packaging, post-consumer recycled materials and refillable compacts whenever possible.
