Seven wristwatch collections unveiled at Mido Novelties Presentation 2023
A modern reimagining of Swiss-made timepieces
Mido rolls out not just one but seven luxury wristwatch collections at the "Mido Novelties Presentation 2023".
With the name derived from the Spanish phrase "yo mido" for “I measure”, the Swiss watchmaker has delivered countless timeless watches with more than 100 years of perfecting watchmaking. For this year's annual Novelties series, the brand has introduced seven luxury watch capsule collections for men and women, designed for everyday lifestyles with functionality in mind.
Highlighted timepieces include the Multifort M Chronometer, Multifort M, Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer Special Edition, Baroncelli Chronograph Moonphase, Multifort Powerwind, and women's watches such as the Ocean Star Nerea and Commander Lady.
Mido recently hosted a collection showcase at the Jim Thompson Art Centre with an action-packed show. Singer Anan Anwar presented a watch through a parkour performance, giving everyone an adrenaline rush. It was thrilling to watch him and his crew flipping off and free-running from wall to wall on the art centre's rooftop.
The wristwatch was the Multifort M Chronometer model, which flaunts the brand's commitment to excellence in watchmaking with its impressive craftsmanship and attention to detail. Encased in a sleek stainless-steel build, The watch's radiant green dial looks refreshing and striking with vertical satin finishing. For improved visibility in low-light conditions, the hands and index dots are coated with Super-Luminova. Its moniker "Chronometer" is engraved on the dial to confirm its precision. it has an automatic Caliber 80 movement and a Silicon Balance Spring that can withstand magnetic fields. The watch is also anti-reflective on both sides and has a date window at the 3 o'clock position.
