Prioritising classic design and meticulous craftsmanship in all aspects, Tissot has reimagined its iconic Chemin des Tourelles timepieces for modern urbanites to complement their ensembles on any occasion.

Sylvain Dolla, CEO of Tissot, travelled to Thailand for the first time to join the launch celebration at Park Hyatt Bangkok. Among highlights were a 39mm watch for men with a black dial and a 34mm watch for ladies with silver dial, both timepieces on stainless steel casings.

Powering the Chemin des Tourelles collection -- named after the street where the brand built its first manufactory more than a century ago -- are Tissot's revolutionary Nivachron Powermatic 80 and automatic Caliber 80 movements, both of which provide 80-hour power reserve and improved magnetic resistance. A water resistance rating of 5ATM (to 50m) further increase durability and usability.

"We still adhere to the brand concept that no matter how much the world changes, Tissot can always adapt to every change in lifestyle," said Dolla. "This event celebrates the comeback campaign of a famous classic collection, Chemin des Tourelles, which can be worn on all occasions given its timeless designs. Along with a new look, the brand also has incorporated modernity to reflect the latest trends.

"This campaign highlights the concept of telling stories about the duality hard-wired into the new Chemin des Tourelles collection. In every dimension, there are two sides to the story: the collection is black and white, male and female, large and small, polished and brushed, classic and modern, tangible and yet somehow tantalisingly beyond our grasp. The concept conveys the new look of Chemin des Tourelles created to meet the needs of both men and women."

The new models feature an exquisitely polished case and generous domed sapphire crystal, which sits over a soft sunray dial, also domed. Meticulous detailing continues into the hands, which have been sandblasted and polished to create texture that's not just pleasing to the eye but also easy to read.

Slimline hour markers are curved and gently faceted, subtle details that impart tangible impressions of the watch's overall look and feel. For those who prefer a large-sized watch, the collection includes option of 42mm stainless steel case in rose gold colour, with dials in various lacquered shades including black, white, blue, silver and ivory.

Likewise available is a range of leather straps, five-link brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet, and five-link brushed and polished bi-colour bracelet.
