Omega's Aqua Terra Shades collection lets Zoë Kravitz express herself

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

Omega brand ambassador since last May, Zoë Kravitz wore a 28mm stainless steel Constellation watch with a purplish patchouli blossom dial in the key visual.

Dials in the 34mm range are dressed in Sea Blue, Lagoon Green, Sandstone, Shell Pink and Lavender.

This year's images from the Every Shade Of You campaign feature the American actress donning larger Aqua Terra models with dials in a vibrant colour.

"I really do love all the colours. On some days, you feel like one colour, and on other days you feel like another," Kravitz said. "That's what's great about the new Aqua Terra Shades collection. I can wear the watch with the Shell Pink dial if I'm feeling more feminine, or something else if I feel a little bit more masculine."

Besides the pastel pink, the feminine faces of the 34mm Aqua Terra 150M shimmer in Sea Blue, Lagoon Green, Sandstone or Lavender.

Sandstone reappears on the 38mm version of the stainless steel timepiece, whose dial is also available in Atlantic Blue, Bay Green, Saffron and Terracotta. In addition, a 38mm Sedna Gold model boasts a dial in Sandstone and a 34mm Moonshine Gold version is paired with Lagoon Green.

Following the spectrum from ocean to earth, the nature-inspired palette allows self-expression and mood-matching through the choice of nine colours.

"Sometimes, I wake up and I feel more masculine. I want to channel that and it feels sexy and fun. So it's really about checking in with yourself first, and I try to dress the way I feel," said Kravitz.

As a matter of fact, her watches are considered statement-making jewellery.

"When I put on jewellery, I leave it on for a month. The reason I stick with the same jewellery is because I like it to become a part of me in that period of time. So like my earrings and rings, when I put on my watch, it will stay on my wrist for a while," she said.

Regarding her acting career, Kravitz has stood out in blockbuster big screen franchises such as Mad Max and Fantastic Beasts as well as Emmy Award-winning television series Big Little Lies.

Last year she starred as Catwoman in Matt Reeves and Warner Bros' The Batman besides making her directorial debut with Pussy Island.

"I try and choose roles that challenge me or scare me. Making this shift from acting to writing and directing was scary and also really exciting. I usually think that, when you're outside your comfort zone, it means you're doing something right," she said.

Omega was captivated by her youthful and confident style while Kravitz shares the Swiss brand's adventurous spirit.

"Omega is a brand that really cares about quality and craftsmanship. Even though they do find fun ways to branch out, change and try new things, they keep it classic. I really appreciate that because as much as I love fashion, I like to keep things simple and beautiful," she said.

As many people use smartphones to read the time, Kravitz noted how watches have become a classic and cool thing to wear.

"I think a watch makes a statement now. It's not a necessity the way it used to be because of smartphones," she said.

"Sometimes, I take out my phone to look at the time, and next thing I know, I'm shopping, or I'm on Instagram, and all I wanted to know was the time. So anything, like a watch that stops us from looking at our phones, even for one moment, is a good thing."
