Blur announces one-time livestream concert

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

Fresh from a recent sold-out reunion show at London's Wembley Stadium earlier this month, British pop giants Blur have announced a special livestream performance titled "Blur - The Ballad Of Darren Album Show" for global fans where the band will be playing songs from their upcoming new album The Ballad Of Darren. The performance will take place on July 26 and will be livestreamed at 3.30am Bangkok time.

Blur -- vocalist Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree -- are set to release their ninth studio album tomorrow. The album will be the band's first record in eight years in which they teamed up with producer James Ford on the record, while the artwork was shot by celebrated British photographer Martin Parr. The quartet have been playing live shows all summer (their first for nearly a decade).

This one-hour exclusive livestream promises to be an extraordinary experience that aims to unite fans in a live encounter, creating an intimate and unforgettable event directly from London. The set will also include their previously released The Ballad Of Darren tracks, St. Charles Square and The Narcissist. "This is the first and only time we will play the complete album live from start to finish," said the band on their official Facebook page.

The performance will be streamed via Driift.live from London's Eventim Apollo on July 25 at 9pm BST (or July 26 at 3.30am in Thailand). The show will also be rebroadcast three times to allow fans around the world to watch at a time more convenient time. Tickets for the livestream are US$17 (580 baht) and are on sale now at driift.live/shows/blur. Customers who have already pre-ordered the album will be automatically included and receive a code via email.
