Hear the sound of three cities

Can you hear the rhythm? "Track/Sound", an immersive installation by After Art, transforms daily commuting scenes in three cities -- Bangkok, London and Dhaka -- into acoustic experiences to deepen the audience's engagement with their surroundings.

Held in a black room at 6060 Arts Space, the sound-art experiment invites people to listen to three soundscapes and guess which cities they each represent. Three, one-minute films show where these sounds come from. It also includes stage performances, for example, The Art Of Thriving Survival.

"Our hypothesis is that just by hearing piano and electronic sounds, which represent visual information, you can guess the city because each is at three levels of development," said an artist, going by the name of After Art, in his second exhibition in Bangkok.

His project ventures into the terrain of psychogeography, exploring the relationship between minds and physical surroundings. It encourages viewers to be more aware of the world around them. Video footage is supported by Shy Choudhury (London), Phathit Renas (Bangkok), and Masnoon Zarif (Dhaka).

"Track/Sound" is on view at 6060 Arts Space until Friday. Visit facebook.com/6060artsspace.
