Discover the charms of Sing Buri

The legendary city of Sing Buri will be coloured with art and design during the "Sang See Sing: Let's Glow Singburi" festival which will take place at Sing Buri City Hall Ror Sor 130 on Wilai Chit Road in Muang district, from Aug 18-27.

Organised by the Tourism Council of Sing Buri in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, this festival aims to attract more tourists, especially the new generation, to explore the city's creative movements and its traditional culture.

Many of the province's attractions will be reinterpreted and portrayed through new forms of art and contemporary design, while the charm of its traditional culture will be enhanced with technology to create a new memorable travel experience for the province.

The festival's highlights include "Crosswalk Art", a semi-permanent art on the street in the form of a crossing that will become a new landmark in the province; "Neon Light Art" which will present the story and symbols of Sing Buri on the architectural and landmark buildings; and an installation of three, 2m-high lion sculptures called "Jai Jai Sing" that reflect the identity of the province.

This is an opportunity to visit Museum Singburi at night and see the historical Ror Sor 129 Court premises which will be exclusively open for public viewing during the festival.

Visitors are also invited to pay a night visit to Wat Phrom Sakhon and Wat Sawang Arom and enjoy the lighting decoration on the almost two-century-old architecture of the two temples.

Outstanding products and local delicacies will be available at the walking street and the Singburi Pavilion in the evening, while the retro market will gather products from famous shops from across the country.

Also presented will be a theme park of the 90s where you will enjoy folk art performances and concerts by famous artists. Alternatively, join DIY art workshops or learn to use digital media to develop tourism businesses and generate income for small entrepreneurs through the "Net Tham Kin" project.

To promote the self-travelling experience for visitors, a digital self-walking guide called WABU will be launched at the festival.
