To jazz up Bangkok's culinary scene, CEO Naphaporn Bodiratnangkura of Nai Lert Group and Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse recently organised a gala dinner to celebrate the official opening of the École Ducasse - Nai Lert Bangkok Studio.

Nestled in the lush greenery of the 108-year-old Nai Lert Park, this three-storey building occupies over 1,400m² and boasts world-class amenities including an operation kitchen, an ice cream lab, a wine cellar and L 'Artisan -- a function area with a chef's table.

Chef instructors from Paris flew in to prepare a special menu for an exclusive dinner at The Glass House, while the head chefs entertained VIPs like ML Sirichalerm Svasti, Sanhapit Bodiratnangkura, ML Piyaphat Bhirombhakdi, Thapanee Kiatphaiboon and Supornthip Chuangrangsi with their "A Taste Of Rhythm" cooking show.

Alain Ducasse has used a combination of culinary and pastry arts programmes as well as a range of short courses and Essentials programmes to communicate his philosophy to students of all skill levels. To guarantee that students will have the chance to network with specialists in the industry, the French chef instructors and Thai chef assistants received their training at École Ducasse Paris and the École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie in France.

Guests embarked on a sustainable gastronomic journey that exemplified the École Ducasse philosophy of honouring the elements of nature while embracing cutting-edge French techniques. Quinoa, raw and roasted vegetables, and truffle jus were served as the first dish of the four-course dinner, which was paired with Canard Duchene Champagne Cuvée Léonie.

The second course was seared sea fish with cooking jus, soft carrot and fresh coriander. It was accompanied by Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis. Kalamansi and kaffir lime granité, followed by passion fruit savarin, gently whipped vanilla cream, and rum flambé were the third and final courses. The night concluded with French chocolate from Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse.
