Mazda revamps the CX-3

Mazda is hoping to stimulate sales of its CX-3 model by adjusting equipment levels and pricing of each variant.

The CX-3 is powered by a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G 2.0 producing 156hp and comes with G-Vectoring Control that helps stabilise the vehicle during cornering.

In terms of styling, there is a black exterior theme for the front grille, door mirror cover, wheel arch cladding, roof and 18in wheels.

The instrument panel features grey-blue leather, decorated with copper stitching and copper air vent frame, along with black leather and Grand Luxe Suede seats.

A new Aero Gray body colour has been introduced for 2023 increasing the paint choice to seven exterior colours.

Besides the styling enhancements, more standard safety features have been added. The i-Activsense package includes Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS), Smart City Brake Support-Reverse (SCBS-R), Smart Brake Support (SBS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), High Beam Control (HBC) and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go (MRCC with Stop & Go).

Thee Permpongpanth, senior vice-president of Mazda Sales, said: "The aim of launching this new model is also to stimulate the market, in particular the crossover SUV segment. Target customer groups include first jobbers who are seeking a crossover SUV or customers who are looking to purchase a second car with sporty premium design, value for money and fully equipped with technology for the family."
