Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel delights seafood lovers with a sensational international dinner buffet at Flavors restaurant. The “Seafood On Fire” International Dinner Buffet will showcase a range of delectable dishes made a la mintue from around the world. The live cooking station offers fresh made-to-order dishes, mostly in a wok. The highlight menu includes Asian wok-fried dishes like Singapore-style chili crab, hard-shell crabs simmered in a flavourful Singaporean spicy-sweet chili, served with fried mantou; Pad cha or spicy wok-fried with Thai herbs, Pad mee ka ched or wok-fried vermicelli with water mimosa, Tom yum or Thai hot and sour soup, Shanghai-style sauce with seafood of your choice, Pad nam prik pao or wok-fried seafood with Thai chili paste, and much more. The buffet also offers pork belly, squid, New Zealand mussel, sea bass fillet, Japanese scallop, river prawn and rock lobster. Seafood on ice is the other part of the buffet, which also has a Japanese Station, Carving Station and a BBQ Grill Station. Captain’s Cabin Experience / Sirimahannop Bangkok  

Sirimahannop, the reimagined Thai tall ship, is inviting guests to “The Captain’s Cabin Experience”, an intimate gatherings for up to six guests. Guests will be invited to step into The Bridge, which features elegant décor and a private dining table and the Hidden Rum Bar, for welcome drinks. A series of succulent seafood appetisers includes a Seafood Tower, a dozen freshly-shucked oysters, a Scandinavian fish board and 30g of Oscietra caviar with condiments. This will be followed by an authentic Scandinavian seafood soup. The fish course of pan-fried Atlantic halibut steak, served with sautéed green beans, capers, lemon and white wine sauce, before the mouth-watering main course of Java beef flank steak with roasted root vegetables and red wine sauce. This memorable meal concludes with a delectable dessert of Crêpe with mixed berry compote and vanilla ice cream. Pagoda Chinese Restaurant at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park will have showcase the Boston lobster in six special dishes. Under the “Sumptuous Boston Lobster” promotion, savour a choice of exquisite seafood dishes, including sautéed Boston lobster with shallots, onions and scallions, Sichuan-style mapo tofu with Boston lobster and an opulent version of the classic clay pot rice with black truffles and Boston lobster. Chef collab / Igniv Bangkok / Nov 5 and Nov 7

Founding Igniv Bangkok chef Andreas Caminada will be collaborating with head chef David Hartwig and sous and pastry chef Arne Riehn, chef Supaksorn Jongsiri from two-Michelin-starred Sorn on Nov 5 and pastry chef Dej Kewkacha from Kyo Roll En on Nov 7. The first collab will see a combination of Swiss, modern European and fine southern Thai cuisine in a tasting menu priced at B8,500++ with an optional wine pairing for B4,000++ or B5,000++. On Nov 7, sweet lovers can look forward to a surprise menu, co-created by chefs Caminada, Dej, and Igniv, where pastry becomes the highlight. Experience a combination of savoury and scrumptious desserts for B6,500++ with an optional wine pairing for B4,000++ or B5,000++. Spanish delights / Uno Mas

Dive deep into the vibrant flavours of Spain's coastal regions at Uno Mas at Centara Grand at CentralWorld with “Spanish Delights From The Sea” promotion. Priced at B2,190++, it introduces an ensemble of dishes, including fresh Hokkaido scallop ceviche combined with cockles and kikos. Deep-fried Pipas de mar, or blue shrimps, promise a blend of oceanic sweetness and savoury crunch while a refreshing delight awaits in the Almadraba tuna tartare, nestled in baby cos lettuce. The Carabinero croquettes have the robust taste of the Carabinero red prawn encased in a crunchy exterior. To get you into the groove for the oncoming festive season with even more reasons to eat, drink and be merry, Wine Garage is partnering with a selection of Bangkok’s finest Italian restaurants, to present "Sapore di Terra", flavours of the lands. On the first weekend of November each of the five restaurants representing their distinct regional cuisines will highlight a curated selection of indigenous Italian varietals to showcase along. Collaborating outlets are About Eatery, Appia, Cetara, Giglio and Zanotti, each pouring five to six labels by the glass from their respective regional terroirs. For this local festivity and convivial occasion, the restaurants plan to offer preferential prices by bottle to be enjoyed with a selection of regional dishes. About Eatery, famous for its uncompromisingly fun wine list and excellent handmade pasta will feature the wines from the Veneto. Bangkok institution of Italian cuisine, Zanotti will be featuring a luxurious lineup from Piedmont. Appia, the house of Roman cooking, will see an array red and white from Lazio, Emilia-Romagna and Abbruzo. Giglio Trattoria Fiorentina, a whole-heartedly Tuscan affair will feature prominent wines from classic varietals of the region, and Cetara and its culinary Mediterranean love letter will be paired with wines from Campania and Sicily to reflect their coastal nature. Young Leader Award / Red Club x Cartier / Until Jan 31, 2024

Red Club x Cartier, a global membership community of multicultural entrepreneurs, that aims to positively influence the next generation of conscious leaders is launching the 2024 edition of the “Young Leader Award”, its annual international award that recognises socially impactful young initiatives. Open to emerging social entrepreneurs, between the ages of 20-40, running impact-driven businesses or nonprofit organisations, the award aims to support young entrepreneurial leaders to grow their businesses and amplify their voices. The top four applicants for the award will be revealed in June 2024, and the final winner will be announced at the Young Leader Award Ceremony, held in Singapore in October 2024. The winner will take home a grant of €50,000 (nearly B2 million), while the remaining three runners-up will each receive €10,000 (nearly B400,000). The 2024 Young Leader Award winner will also benefit from a mentorship programme by the academic partners of this year’s edition namely the National University of Singapore Business School (NUS Business School) and the University of Sydney Business School. They will also receive international exposure, media visibility, as well as ad-hoc coaching and mentoring sessions from the Red Club x Cartier networks.

Space K / Next Tech, Siam Paragon / Until Sept 30, 2024

Metaverse expert Live K, XR Tech from Korea and Siam Paragon are co-hosting the "Space K" exhibition, which has been described as a futuristic media art, at Next Tech, on the fourth floor of Siam Paragon. It's divided into two zones namely The Next and The Future. The former showcases Korean palaces and culture while transporting viewers to space while the latter is dedicated to the future of humankind featuring cyborgs, futuristic cities and more. People and Their World: Tsam - The Dance of Gods / River City Bangkok / Until Dec 5

This photography exhibition beautifully captures an enchanting narrative created by Jatenipat Ketpradit (JKboy), a Thai photographer deeply captivated by the tales of tribes and cultures. JKboy will guide you to unlock the gates of an ancient palace, more than 300 years old, concealed amidst the deep mountains of Mongolia. Experience the sacred and secretive ritual of venerating an ancient deity through masked dances, amidst the rhythmic verses and the aromatic allure of incense, aiming to banish all evil forces from existence.
