On Nov 23, join UK photographer Tim Russell for the much-anticipated launch of his book Bangkok Station: Seven Years Of Photography From Hualamphong, at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand (FCCT) on Phloenchit Road.

Russell, a resident of Bangkok since 2012, has devoted a significant portion of his time capturing the essence of Thailand's capital through his lens, focusing on the vibrant streets and the people who call this city home. His enduring connection with Hua Lamphong, in particular, has resulted in a captivating photographic journey expertly curated in the form of Bangkok Station.

Published by Soi Books, Bangkok Station is a visual pleaser that features approximately 70 images in colour and black and white, taken at Hua Lamphong between 2016 and this year. These images beautifully showcase the station in all its liveliness and colour, making the book a cherished time capsule for those who hold Hua Lamphong close to their hearts. Railway enthusiasts, not only in Thailand but worldwide, will find this collection of photographs immensely appealing.

On Nov 23, Russell will be present to engage in a Q&A session, shedding light on his creative process and signing copies of his book. Visitors can also enjoy an exhibition of carefully selected images from Bangkok Station on display at the FCCT clubhouse from Nov 20 to Dec 20. Copies of the book, along with prints, will be available for purchase during the event, allowing attendees to bring a piece of Bangkok's soul into their own lives.

Originally from Coventry, England, Russell embarked on his Southeast Asian journey in 2003 when he moved to Vietnam. His passion for photography blossomed in Bangkok. Russell specialises in street, documentary and travel photography, and his work has found a home in various publications, as well as on platforms like Getty Images and Shutterstock.
