Throughout 2023, Onitsuka Tiger has rolled out some really cool sneakers. The rabbit-inspired Mexico 66 is decorated with faux fur while the Mexico 66 Cactful features a vegan alternative made from nopal cactus.
Last month, the Japanese brand launched the Mollety -- typically designed with a leather upper and Onitsuka Tiger's simple and thin sole while consolidating the functionality of the platform style in the sockliner.
The platform structure inside the shoe boasts FF BLAST Plus foam technology previously employed in running shoes.
FF BLAST Plus is a cushioning foam material that provides impact absorption and a responsive rebound. The technology is combined with the light and soft FLYTEFOAM in the sockliner for further cushioning and comfort.
The production involves a newly-designed shoe cast for a voluminous silhouette and comfortable fit.

The Mollety debuts with two models. The first is in white with a green fig accent as well as the Onitsuka Tiger stripes for a sporty look, while the second version is in graphite gray with white and salmon colour contrasts.
The TPU part on the heel is inspired by the iconic Mexico 66. The name recalls the first appearance of the Onitsuka Tiger stripes on Limber-Up shoes in 1966, and how this model was worn by Japanese athletes competing at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
The Mexico 66 SD has been dressed up for the festive season. Onitsuka Tiger designers drew inspiration from the Aurora Borealis for its lustrous holographic leather upper and a sprayed finish on the sole.
The Holiday Gifts 2023 collection also includes the Delecity model made of a prism-coloured material to recall the Northern Lights.
In addition, laces are adorned with Swarovski crystals as a sparkling detail on the sneaker, whose outsole and upper recall basketball and tennis shoes from the 1950s and 1980s.
