CentralWorld will become a destination for shopping, worshipping, eating and spending leisure time this upcoming Lunar New Year from Feb 7-11. Here's the gist.
Feb 7 – Enjoy the spectacular shows from popular actor NuNew-Chawarin and singer Flower Far in "Chinese Orchestra The Nine Dragons Show"’ along with the Thailand Philharmonic Pops Orchestra conducted by Asst Prof Thanaphon Setaprahman, delivering joyful songs of happiness to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The performance will be accompanied by The Wall of Nine Dragons on the panOramix screen at Square B. Join Zee Phruek for a tour where he will show you around CNY activities throughout the shopping mall.
Feb 7-10 – Experience Thailand’s spectacular longest 120m LED Golden Dragon and Lion Dance Show by the Nakhon Sawan Golden Dragon Group. Be sure to check out the "The 100 Prosperity Dragon Show", with a group of more than 100 children on Feb 7 at Square B.
Feb 7-11– Enjoy hard-to-find contemporary Chinese art and cultural performances supported by the Ministry of Culture and listen to beautiful classical Chinese instrumental music.
Feb 9 – Those who wish for auspiciousness in their lives can participate in Thailand’s first Cai Shen (the God of Fortune) worship ceremony led by Sinsae Chang Tossaporn Sritula at 11.09pm. It is said that the worship brings 20 years of good luck.
Feb 5-20 – Stop by at "Fly Like A Dragon With AirAsia" event to pay your respects to the Yu Lao (God of Love and Marriage) or "The Old Man From The Moon" (replica) and join in the fun activities with AirAsia to get a limited-edition lucky bag and such as a Central Pattana Welcome Pack and lucky cards for Chinese tourists travelling to Thailand during Chinese New Year at the entrance to the Atrium zone, 1st floor.
Feb 7-20 – Enhance your luck by paying homage to three gods. Cai Shen, the God of Fortune from Fujian province, the People’s Republic of China. The statue has been through the consecration ritual at the Temple of the Thousand-Eyed and Thousand-Armed Guanyin Goddess at Phutthanusorn Foundation. The God of Dragon, summoned from the People’s Republic of China, represents auspiciousness, greatness and morality, and Guan Yu God, summoned from Sam Kai Vui Kun Temple in Macau, which was built in 1750 and has been registered as a Unesco World Heritage Site. Worship the gods at the Beacon 2 zone, 1st floor from Feb 7-11 and at the Groove zone, 2nd floor from Feb 12-20.
Feb 7-11 – Visit "The Chinese Market" to sample food from 40 popular and delicious restaurants from Chinatown at Square B and shop for great-quality auspicious items for worship from the Royal Project at the "Chinese Prosperous Market" such as seven auspicious vegetables and fruits, tea-sets and decorations at the Beacon Zone. Enjoy "The Royal Project Chinese Bistro" for the first time in the form of fine-dining Chinese style, where auspicious food will be paired with seven delicious tea drinks.
