A series of signature works from the underground art movement will go under the hammer at Julien's Auctions in California, on Feb 22 at 10am local time (Feb 23 at 1am Thai time). The works are now available for online bidding via

The works are featured in the Los Angeles-based auction house's "Street Art", a curated collection comprising some of the most important and revolutionary works created originally in the shadows, on the streets and walls of urban public spaces that display the power of this genre.

Among the most talked about and controversial artists of our time whose works have changed the world and established the street art phenomenon are Banksy, Invader, Retna, Jamie Reid, Billy Morrison, Louis Waldon, Jeff Hamilton and Jorge Jimenez-Deredia.

Some of their original works are now in the hand-picked selection of 20 unique pieces set for both live and online bidding.

Headlining the auction event will be iconic works of enigmatic British artist Banksy including Gangsta Rat Live, an original aerosol on metal door mounted in an acrylic shadow box frame executed on a British Telecom street box in Liverpool in 2004; and Police Van Chimp, an original aerosol painting on glass executed as part of his "Turf War" exhibition in an abandoned London warehouse in 2003.

Other highlights from the "Street Art" auction are five of the signature ceramic tile creations of arcade game aliens by French street artist Invader. His mosaic work, which adorns the streets of more than 60 cities worldwide, is part of a large-scale project he calls "Space Invaders".

The lots include Sangria, a limited-edition proof print by mural artist Retna, one of the most collected street artists in the world; and Anarchy In The U.K., a screen print on canvas by punk style artist Jamie Reid.
