Isan flavours / Samuay & Sons x Avani Sukhumvit / March 8-9

Chef Weerawat “Num” Triyasenawat will be cooking up a storm at the "Taste The Magic" by Samuay & Sons, Udon Thani. The two-day, five-course dinner takes place on March 8-9 at Avani Sukhumvit’s Greenhouse Restaurant. Renowned for his "new Isan cuisine”, at Samuay & Sons chef Num blends traditional and modern techniques using locally-sourced ingredients to craft a menu that evolves with the changing seasons. The dinner begins with bite-sized Papaya salad with Grilled Betong chicken raised by Khon Kaen farmers. Choose between Bamboo shoot soup, a regional favourite with ant eggs and caviar from Hua Hin, or Fish and local chicken sausage with spicy pig trotter reduction. The soup course is titled “The Red Lotus Lake” and is inspired by the famous lake in Udon Thani, featuring Tom yum with tiger prawn and watermelon. It’s followed by a Steamed herbal khong river fish with mixed local vegetables and Isan consommé. For mains, Rice-field crab sauce and sticky rice are served with Grilled Phu Meng pork, a pig breed developed by Isan farmers. This month, hop into the joy of springtime with the Easter Afternoon Tea. Presented in The Lobby Lounge, the tea includes savoury treats can tuck into a special Easter ham sandwich, cage-free egg, avocado and almond roll, smoked salmon with cucumber and tarragon cream, and charred scallop with asparagus and avocado. Enjoy passionfruit meringue tart, pistachio cake, strawberry vanilla tart, carrot cake, vanilla panna cotta with mango jelly, Easter chocolates, white chocolate and red berry mousse “egg” and homemade hot cross buns with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Champagne brunch / Uno Mas / March 3 and April 7

The Champagne Brunch is back at Uno Mas, Centara Grand at CentralWorld, on March 3 and April 7. The monthly brunch pays homage to the vibrant flavours of Spain and the Mediterranean, offering a lavish spread of gourmet tapas, paellas and an abundance of fresh seafood, all paired with the endless effervescence of Champagne Pommery Brut Royal N.V.  The menu also features a selection of tapas, premium imported meats and the freshest catch from the sea. Highlights include an array of oysters, snow crab, Maine lobster and tiger prawns. The jamon Iberico, classic paella, lobster sashimi and A5 Kobe beef sashimi are not to be missed. Serenity tea / Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok / Until April 30

The “Scented Serenity Afternoon Teatime” is in collaboration with Kirinatu, a French perfume house born in France and raised in Asia. Crafted to provide a moment of pure relaxation and five sensory delights, the experience redefines traditional afternoon rituals at 1897 Lounge, where executive pastry chef Franck Istel presents an array of 14 meticulously crafted French savouries and sweets. Each bite is designed to complement the exclusive scent of “Lotus Bleu” by Kirinatu. Five delicate savouries highlighting Saffron (saffron aioli and charred shrimp tartlet, chilli rose petals), Ginger (tuna brioche, lemon soy gel and crispy ginger, Nashi pear (lardons and onion cream cheese éclair, rosemary Nashi pears), Caramel (smoked salmon croissant, fish sauce caramel, perilla) and Dark rum (dark rum-marinated duck, black pepper cherry gel) are on offer. Classic vanilla, bergamot and saffron scones are served with house-made strawberry-vanilla jam, signature lemon cured and traditional Devonshire clotted cream. The five pastries and sweets feature Cherry (little black forest baba), Apple (caramelised apple tart on speculoos), Apricot (apricot and lemon opera slice), Fig (crepe roll with house-made fig jam) and Forest berry (forest berry compote, smoked vanilla cream in white chocolate cup). The afternoon tea comes with a Cherry crème brûlée written in French cerise set on the side. Noble tea master Ging Nipaporn Hanwichai will also offer a tea pairing, while harpist Tong-Juan Wang will serenade from Tuesday to Sunday. Sunday brunch / Espresso

Step into a world of culinary splendour at InterContinental Bangkok's Espresso, where the weekly Sunday Brunch unfolds with the velvety smooth vocal stylings of Coco LaShaun. Begin with Iberico ham, premium imported cold cuts and artisanal cheeses before moving on to the flavours of Asia with the signature Thai noodle soup featuring braised Wagyu beef or Kurobuta pork. The Shangri-La Bangkok will hold the 17th “Raan Dung Ross Ded: RDRD Gourmet ‘Street Food’ Buffet Under the Stars @Salathip”. Bangkok’s first and only riverfront outdoor market features an all-you-can-eat buffet from stalls listed in the Michelin Guide Bangkok, along with Shangri-La Bangkok food stations and desserts, with live music entertainment and fun activities for family and friends. La Lanta Fine Art will host a solo exhibition by Chayapong Charuvastr, an artist who creates landscapes reflecting human emotions through the lens of minimalism.
