Running under the theme "Celebration Of Love", Bangkok Pride Festival runs from Friday until June 4. The event is jointly organised by Narumit Pride and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

As expectations grow for the marriage equality law to be implemented, the rainbow flag will flutter on Saturday and cover Rama I Road as a symbol of support for LGBTI rights.

The 200m long rainbow flag will stretch from National Stadium to Ratchaprasong, making it the longest Pride flag in Thailand.

Here are three main activities at this year's Bangkok Pride Festival.

-  Bangkok Pride Parade 2024: To celebrate marriage equality, Bangkok Pride features five main parades to represent the five definitions of love for participants to interpret, express and present, and to use love to create an equal society.

-  Bangkok Pride Forum: A forum for exchanging opinions and suggestions as civil society, government and the private sector push for Thailand to be an equal and safe society for everyone.

-  Drag Bangkok Festival 2024: This event is the first of its kind in Thailand and Asia. Visitors can enjoy performances from Thai and foreign drag artists and see Thailand's biggest and most spectacular drag parade. The parade is running under theme "I've Got The Power" and will feature drag artists and their partners showing their power.

Admission is free. No registration is required.
