The ultimate Pride celebration returned on Saturday in the heart of Bangkok, drawing everyone in with its extravagance and vibrant colours beyond comparison.

This year, Naruemit Pride joined hands with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Ministry of Tourism and Sports to host the Bangkok Pride Festival 2024 under the theme "Celebration of Love", aiming to promote acceptance of LGBTQIA2S+ in Thai society and the Southeast Asian region and to create cultural spaces for the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

The event is also a countdown to the implementation of the marriage equality law before the end of this year, marking a historic milestone for LGBTQIA2S+ rights and gender justice.

Bangkok Pride Parade comprised five unique and exciting processions with five open-ended definitions of love to inspire participants to interpret, express and present their own concepts of love for creating an equitable society. On Saturday, the parade began at the front of Nimibutr Building at the National Stadium as people marched along Rama 1 Road towards Ratchaprasong Intersection, covering a distance of more than 2.5km.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin took part in the event.

This year, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin took the opportunity to present the "Provincial Pride Flag", symbolising and honouring the opening of Pride Month celebration and to pass on the spirit to representatives of the network of Pride organisers in various provinces across the country.

Bangkok Pride Festival 2024 also featured over 130 smaller parades, showcasing the power and presence of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. The festival wrapped up on Tuesday.
