With the release of Inside Out 2 tomorrow in Thailand, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore has been transformed into an Inside Out-themed outdoor carnival that runs until June 22 as part of the Children's Festival.

With large-scale installations, young fans can learn about their emotions through a variety of interactive areas inspired by different Inside Out 2 characters including Joy, Anger, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment, prior to the film's screening in Singapore on Thursday.

"We all want our children to be happy and healthy. This year, we've teamed up with Disney for the 10th edition of Gardens by the Bay's Children's Festival. Kids can learn about stress and emotions in a fun way through relatable characters and heartwarming stories such as those from Disney and Pixar. More importantly, the event allows families to bond and spend meaningful time together," said Felix Loh, a chief executive officer of Gardens by the Bay. Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley who's about to begin high school, just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new emotions.

The Kaleidoscope Of Memories installation is reminiscent of Riley's long-term memory storage facility featuring colourful, illuminated Memory Orbs. Visitors can make their own Memory Orb by scanning a QR code, choose a character to capture their mood, and upload their photos to Kaleidoscope Of Memories, where their special moments will be projected on an animated wall.

Young visitors can also enjoy a fun ride on Mood Swings or showcase their painting skills to learn how to manage complicated emotions. Visitors can also learn to stay calm and search for solutions as they lose themselves in a maze and gigantic buzz wire games influenced by Fear and Anxiety.

Meanwhile, Fort Pillowtown draws inspiration from Ennui and serves as an open playground where children can lie back and let their imaginations run wild within the cosy pillow fortresses that they build. The whirlwind of emotions comes to a harmonious conclusion at Memory Orb Mountain, where large inflatable balls stand to embrace and balance our feelings.

In addition, the Inside Out soundtrack will be synchronised with an illumination of Supertree Grove during a special edition of "The Medley Of Emotions" light and music show, which takes place between 7.45pm and 8.45pm.

Inside Out 2 installations are open daily from 10am to 7pm. Admission is free. For more details, visit gardensbythebay.com.sg/childrensfestival.
