Contestants on wooden planks clam up and collect cockles in a mud sea bed at an annual event at Bang Taboon Bay in Phetchaburi's Ban Laem district.

Called "Perd Lok Talay Klone" (Exploring the mud sea), the event aims to promote local tourism and stimulate the area's economic growth. Other activities included a mud sea beauty contest, a cockle eating competition, the selling of local handicrafts as well as exhibitions showcasing the area's tourist destinations and highlighting the achievements of local administrative organisations.
