With the "A Love Letter To You" tagline, Jim Thompson Farm announces the 2023 edition of its annual farm tour, which runs for 25 days from Dec 9 to Jan 2, 2024.

As you already know about the tour, the farm abounds with natural beauty and different landscapes from a vast field of cosmos in full bloom to a field filled with golden and purple rice ears. There will also be opportunities to learn about Isan culture through the Isan Village where you can explore traditional houses, five exhibitions, talks and workshops. The exhibitions focus on interesting topics such as silkworms and how silks are made, 20 types of rice, and cultural agencies left behind in Isan provinces by American G.I.s during the Vietnam War. Of course, you can shop for exclusive souvenirs and dine at 10 food shops.
What makes this edition more special is live music performances at not one but two stages. At the "American Isan" stage, four folk and country bands will perform and you can watch them free of additional charge. The Hopper will perform on Dec 9 and 16. Sunder will take over on Dec 10-12, 17, 24, 29-30 and Jan 1, 2024. Hang Over will play from Dec 10-15. Aod Bangchang will perform on Dec 23 and 30.
The "Molam Music" stage requires an extra charge on top of the farm ticket. Four musical acts who are credited for contemporising molam music will perform on Saturdays from 8-9.30pm. Esan Fusion, Rasmee Isan Soul, Tontakul X Nisatiwa and All-Thidsa Molam Band X Aof Surapol will perform on Dec 9, 16, 23 and 30, respectively. The farm ticket with concert admission costs B800 per day but also comes with an Isan food buffet.
Farm-only tickets cost B150 per person for weekdays and B200 for weekends. Tickets for children and seniors cost B90. The early bird tickets are available until Dec 8 at ticketmelon.com/jimthompsonfarm/farmtour2023. Their prices will go up after Dec 8.
