Annual Chiang Mai flower festival returns
Charming Chiang Mai Flower Festival.

Bringing joyful vibes to the ancient Lanna capital, Charming Chiang Mai Flower Festival is returning for its 82nd anniversary at Chaloem Phrakiat Park from tomorrow until Jan 1 to celebrate the beauty of nature.

Visitors will be greeted with Wonder Flora Land, home to tulips and other winter blossoms in full bloom set against the backdrop of lush mountains. A magnificent castle and a lengthy tunnel will be illuminated as the sky grows darker to take visitors to the Musical Fountain, synchronised to wonderful sounds.

The towering Christmas Tree greets visitors as they head to the Magic Forest and Flower of Magic garden. Walking through the Dimensional Door, you might imagine yourself boarding rainbow balloons to the galaxy at the end of a journey.

This year, a group of local artists will also take the stage for the Light of Glory dance performance in contemporary Lanna style. It's open daily from 8am to 10pm. Admission is free.

River Kwai Bridge Week and Red Cross Fair 2023.

River Kwai Bridge Week runs until Sunday

The River Kwai Bridge Week runs in Kanchanaburi until Sunday, accompanied by hundreds of booths at the Red Cross Fair, offering a range of local culinary delights, handicrafts and souvenirs.

The promenade is turned into a bustling entertainment venue with cultural performances, Miss Congeniality competition, a singing competition, Thai textile fashion show, amusement park and concerts by popular singers including Cocktail, Song Thai and Sprite OG Bobby Don Kids.

This year, the magnificent light and sound performance runs under the theme "Reminiscence Of River Khwae: The Bridge Of Friendship" to take visitors back to when the bridge was built during World War II. The concert will take place each night at 7pm, except today, with a capacity of 400 people. Admission is free.

2023 Yotyingfa Ayutthaya World Heritage Festival.

Light and sound show comes to Wat Mahathat

A series of spectacular light and sound shows titled "Ayodhaya Yotkrirkfa Weeraksatra Silparuangrujee Witaed Maitri Sri Ayothaya" will take place at Wat Mahathat in Ayutthaya Historical Park from tomorrow to Dec 24.

As part of the 2023 Yotyingfa Ayutthaya World Heritage Festival, the performance will transport visitors back to the Ayutthaya era when Siam's second capital served as a major maritime trading hub, fostering the development of a charming multicultural society with traders coming from China, India, Europe and Persia. Tickets are 200 baht and 500 baht.
