Until Jan 2, the city hall of Nakhon Ratchasima is turned into an entertainment venue for the Korat Winter Festival & Countdown 2024 to mark Korat's 555th anniversary.

Under the theme of an international amusement park, fairgoers can experience an assortment of thrilling rides that are available until Jan 14. A towering Christmas tree lights up the city moat, while winter flowers adorn the monument of King Chulalongkorn, making it a blooming botanical garden in the heart of town.
Local artisans are showcasing a wide range of Otop products, and a troop of famous singers are taking to the stage for mini concerts. On the occasion, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is also illuminating the clock tower with lighting installations and putting on stunning firework displays on Dec 31 to ring in the New Year.
Nestled in Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park, the Hor Wot 101 Roi Et Tower festival will continue until Monday to welcome the advent of the Year of the Dragon. Visitors can take part in a Buddhist chanting ritual to honour Buddha's relics and worship a statue of Phra Phutthamingmuang Mongkol to pray for wealth, success and good health in the coming year.
There's also a variety of cultural performances, light and sound shows and New Year firework displays to highlight the history and charming cultural legacy in the northeastern region.

Fans of the renowned manga series Detective Conan have a chance to join an exciting adventure with Conan Edogawa, Kogoro Mouri and Ran Mouri to explore the southwest of Japan.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of both the Chizu Express line and the Detective Conan series, popular Japanese manga characters are being brought to life through a collaboration between Chizu Express and the Tottori Prefectural Government.
The Super Hakuto Limited Express connects Tottori Prefecture -- the birthplace of Detective Conan manga creator Gosho Aoyama -- with the Keihanshin region, which includes Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. Pictures of popular characters adorn the train's exterior and interior to provide passengers with novel travelling experiences.
