Two new boats on the Chao Phraya later this month

Boats 301 and 302 to travel between Nonthanburi and Sathon piers

The Chao Phraya Express Boat, operator of passenger boats between Pak Kred in Nonthaburi and Wat Rajsingkorn in Bangkok (near Asiatique), has recently unveiled two new boats, which are said to be pilot models that will replace its entire fleet of more than 60 vessels in its ongoing plan to revamp boats.

The boats are known for being affordable ways for locals to commute and tourists to explore Bangkok and Nonthaburi along the Chao Phraya River, and operate in four routes across 38 piers with prices starting at B14. Several piers along the routes connect to MRT and BTS stations.

Keeping in line with the Marine Department's safety measures and principles of naval architecture, Chao Phraya Express Boat No. 301 and 302 are expected to be put into operation between Nonthaburi and Sathon piers later this month. These vessels are built with marine-grade aluminium roofs that are said to feature energy-saving features. They can accommodate up to 150 passengers and are designed to cause less waves.
