Mercure Bangkok Surawong opens

Mercure, a midscale brand under Accor, gains another footprint in Thailand with the opening of Mercure Bangkok Surawong near Bangkok's CBD of Silom.

Design-wise, the new city hotel is inspired by the character of its location through design elements reminiscent of the nearby historical warehouses and materials such as reclaimed wood, modern steel and stone.

Its 219 rooms integrate local aesthetics with contemporary design, the most evident being traditional weaving patterns reimagined into modern wall coverings. From cosy Classic Rooms to spacious Privilege Rooms, each boasts modern amenities and panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline.

Sitting across the street from Neilson Hays Library, Mercure Bangkok Surawong isn't far from countless food offerings and entertainment on Silom and Thaniya but it also offers onsite eateries. Yu Her Bao offers Chinese dishes fuses local ingredients with modern gastronomy. Expect vibrant flavours of Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines with Thai influences. Perched high above bustling streets on level 20 is Starlight Rooftop Bar. Expect Thai-herb-infused cocktails to go with light-to-medium bites.

Mercure Bangkok Surawong celebrates its opening with a special offer until June 30. Join ALL (Accor’s lifestyle loyalty programme Accor Live Limitless), for free to make the most of your stay.
