It's the last day of the year and everyone is in the mood for celebration. Party lovers will be excited as the best hang-outs across the country line up some top entertainment to keep them jolly throughout the evening.
At least 10 great venues -- eight in Bangkok, one in Ratchaburi and the other in Hua Hin -- will be the venues for major countdown parties, with everyone invited to enjoy music of all varieties performed live by the country's leading artists. Several places also promise to conclude the night of fun with memorable fireworks displays, bringing us into 2019 with a burst of ecstasy.

Held under the "Eclipse Of Time" concept, AIS Bangkok Countdown 2019@CentralWorld will feature a 360-degree entertainment experience with concerts by popular performers starting from 6pm. These are SB Five, 25Hours, Potato, Joey Boy, BNK48, Peck Palitchoke, J-Jetrin and Jaonaay, and Da Endorphine. There will also be performances and fun activities with AIS presenters James Jirayu, Taew Natapohn, Bella Ranee, Toey Jarinpohn and Put Puttichai. Set to further enhance the party ambience behind their turntables will be top Asian DJs Pimmy, Miki, Rocky, 22 Bullets, Pink, Awyqueen, Hanky, Giovani, Xixi and Flash Finger. The light and sound extravaganza and spectacular fireworks display will be broadcast live on AIS channels and on the panOramix, the world's largest digital interactive screen. The Amazing Thailand Countdown 2019 starts with concerts by singers, actors and actresses at 6pm. The line-up features Ice Siphoom The Voice, Kaem Witchayanee, Hunz The Star, Rit The Star, Gail Sophicha, Kangsom The Star, Kan Napat and several singers from True Academy Fantasia. The highlight will be a stunning fireworks display in five parts, using of environmentally friendly materials. The display will span a total distance of 1,400m across the river, the largest to date on the river. Lasting five minutes, the show follows five themes -- "The River Of Prosperity", "The Siam Treasure", "The Blossom Of Joy", "One World" and "Thailand". There will also be a khon masked dance featuring the battle episode of Yokrob from the Ramakien. The performance celebrates Unesco's listing of khon as a cultural heritage. Expect the unexpected at the Asiatique Thailand Countdown 2019: The Tomorrow Port. A myriad of leading artists and acts will gather to take turns performing on an eight-storey stage, called the Tique Tower, enhanced with 4D effects, starting at 5pm. The line-up features The Parkinson featuring Burin, Joey Boy, Twopea, Win Sqweez Animal, Singto Namchoke, Cocktail, Gene Kasidit and DJ Roxy June. The Emporium EmQuartier Winter Wonderland 2019 will conclude with a grand concert that promises to get everyone on the dance floor to ring in 2019, starting from 5pm. The evening will open with music by DJ Kenny before Man The River takes to the stage at 6pm, followed by dancing queen Christina Aguilar at 7pm, Burin Boonvisut at 8pm and Gope & Tangmo The Voice at 9.45pm. Blast Sessions and House Jam will bring back the NYE Double Party, which combines a day-time pool party at Double Tree by The Hilton starting at 2pm with a riverside countdown party at Mango Tree On The River from 8pm until late. Featuring an international crowd, music and atmosphere mixed with local ambience, this epic party will feature a barbecue, live entertainment and magnificent fireworks display by the river. Starting at 9pm, the Beat The Heat party will allow everyone to storm into the New Year in a blur of red with special entertainment and dance. DJs Groove, Kori Mafi and Chazin will get your body swaying and your feet moving while the bartenders will keep the party going with bottle acrobatics, lighting the bar on fire and fire breathing. The two-day Suan Phung Highland Countdown Festival 2018 is a chance to get up close with your favourite acts in a romantic setting while counting down to the New Year together. Set to perform from 6pm will be Pause, Pete Pol, O Pavee and The Mousses. The concert will be performed on the amphitheatre stage and there will be booths of sumptuous food and beverages, plus fun activities including a balloon ride to tour around Ratchaburi province.
