Every weekend and official holiday beginning March 2, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phetchaburi Office, will operate a special train No.911 between Hua Lamphong and Phetchaburi province under the "Sightseeing By Train And Rod Leng In Phetchaburi" programme.

Attractions include Phra Ram Ratchaniwet, Wat Maha That, the Muang Phetchaburi Riverside Community, Klong Kachaeng Community, Wat Yai Suwannaram and Wat Phra Non.

Train fares per head for both adults and children are 120 baht for 3rd class and 240 baht for 2nd class air-conditioned compartments. The first 1,000 passengers will enjoy free rides on rod lengs (small local taxis) in Muang Phetchaburi.

Cycling near Bangkok

On March 9, the TAT's Central Regional Office and Pathum Thani provincial authorities will host the "Opening The Town Of Pathum Thani For Cycling 2019" race on a 40km route along the Chao Phraya River from 5-11am.

The event will allow cyclists to learn about the art and culture of Pathum Thani, and the local way of life. Participants must register and have breakfast at Wat Bot from 5-6am. The opening ceremony will take place from 6.45-7am.

The application fee is 300 baht per head. The price is inclusive of meals, drinking water, a T-shirt and accident insurance. The trip is limited to 500 persons.

Graffiti art in Hua Hin

From March 7-10, the "Blu-Wall-Blu-Street Graffiti Competition" will be held at Blu Parc space in Blu Port Hua Hin shopping mall in Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

Visitors can see the March 7 graffiti-battle show by some famous artists and a live graffiti show by Kamo Gallery and attend a free art workshop. Also, there will be a street-art and graffiti contest by students and art lovers under the theme of "Echoes From The Sea". Entries will be shown at the mall for a month. Results will be announced on March 9. Winners will receive prizes worth over 80,000 baht as well as trophies.
