Numerous districts of Songkhla and Phatthalung provinces have been flooded after two days of heavy rain, according to the disaster prevention and mitigation office of Songkhla.
Several roads linking districts in Songkhla were hit by floods on Sunday morning.
The road between tambon Ban Phru in Songkhla's Hat Yai and tambon Na Muang of Na Mom district was 50 centimetres under water in places, making it impassable to small vehicles.
Kanchanawanich road between Khlong Wa intersection in Hat Yai and Sadao district was also under water.
People living on mountain slopes in Sadao, Na Thawi, Sabayoi, Rattaphum, Khlong Hoy Khong and Hat Yai districts have been warned of possible flash floods and mudslides.

In Phatthalung, heavy rain on the Banthat mountain range and Khao Pu Khao Ya National Park led to runoff flowing into Tha Nae reservoir in tambon Khao Ya of Si Banphot district.The overflow from the reservoir was inundating the plains of tambons Chamuang and Khuan Khanun in Khuan Khanun district.
A one-kilometre section of the Pho Thong-Khuan Khanun road was under water, with levels expected to rise.
