Suvarnabhumi airport will partially reopen its bicycle tracks for cyclists to test the improved facilities on Dec 23.

The Sky Lane will be partially reopened for cyclists on Dec 23 from 6am-7pm, its Facebook account said.

Bike riders are required to have new SNAPs, a radio-frequency identification tag used to collect information about cyclists. The new tag is available at 20 Siam Commercial Bank branches from Tuesday until Dec 21 or at the Sky Lane from Tuesday until Dec 23, the day of the partial reopening.

The 23.5-kilometre-long tracks circling the airport were shut down to improve facilities for riders on April 11.

The Sky Lane is a joint project between Airports of Thailand Plc and SCB. The two organisations aim to make it a world-class bicycle track.
