PATTAYA: A man and his teenage daughter fell from a balcony at a condominium building in Pattaya on Thursday, suffering critical injuries.

The Sawangboribul Dhammasathan Foundation in Pattaya responded to an emergency call about 2am informing them two foreigners had fallen from their balcony.

On arrival the team found a man and young woman in great pain on the ground in the car park area. They were identified as Valeriya Kretova 17, and her father Maksim Kretova, 43, both Russian nationals.

Miss Kretova had serious injuries to her head, both arms and legs. Mr Kretova had a compound fracture to his left leg.

Other members of the family were also at the scene waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

The two were given basic first aid and then rushed to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for proper treatment.

Bystanders said the Russian family was spending time together on their balcony on the second floor. Suddenly they heard a scream.

They ran to see what had happened and found the father and daughter lying injured on the ground.

It was believed the daughter had somehow fallen from the balcony and the father attempted to catch her,  which led to them both plunging to the ground below.
