Thai Airways International has extended flight cancellation on the Osaka route for another two days to Thursday.
THAI vice-president Flt Lt Pratana Patanasiri said on Monday the carrier had decided to prolong the suspended service between Suvarnabhumi and Kansai airports to Thursday due to the damage of the main airport serving Osaka by typhoon Jebi.
The airline cancelled the route last Wednesday as the super typhoon ripped through Japan.
THAI originally planned to resume the flights on Wednesday. The extended suspension means regular services will return on Friday.
Passengers of the airline have until Sept 20 to reschedule their trips or divert their destinations in Japan free of charge, the airline said.
THAI operates two daily flights from Bangkok to Osaka.
Kansai international airport partially reopened on Friday for domestic flights and some international routes.
Japan's third-largest airport accommodate about 80,000 air travellers every day.
