Valid IDs found in dump site

SONGHKLA: At least 40 citizenship ID cards have been found abandoned at a garbage dump site near a school in Muang district.

Police were alerted on Thursday to the discovery by Phirom Mabanchong, 40, a garbage truck attendant, who found the cards in a plastic bag left in the dump near Songkhla Kindergarten School.

According to police, the Interior Ministry revealed the ID cards, which belong to both men and women, are genuine and valid. Investigators said the cards may have been stolen and the discovery may have something to do with the upcoming general election.
