Bus crashes in Korat, 31 injured

NAKHON RATCHASIMA: Thirty-one passengers were injured when an interprovincial bus travelling from Nong Khai to Rayong ran off the road in Non Sung district in the early hours of Wednesday.

The bus, carrying 44 passengers, ran off the Mittaphab Highway into the centre dividing ditch and overturned in tambon Don Chomphu around 2.40am, the Hook 31 rescue team reported.

The bus is operated by 407 Pattaya Co.

Emergency response teams helped the passengers out of the bus. A total of 31 passengers sustained injuries, two of them were in a serious condition. They were rushed to Nong Sung Hospital.

Police believed the driver dozed off behind the wheel. They were investigating.
