All traffic lanes through Ratchaprasong intersection reopened early Tuesday afternoon after completion of the cleanup following the fatal bomb blast at Erawan Shrine on Monday evening.

The intersection was closed on Monday night following by the explosion, which killed 20 people and injured 125 others.

Soldiers and police reopened all lanes to traffic at the intersection at 12.34pm on Tuesday.

Water trucks and workers from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration were earlier sent to clean up the area.  Pieces of human flesh strewn around the intersection by the force of the blast were all removed. Explosive Ordnance Disposal officers had already collected evidence at the blast site.

Passenger buses and other vehicles were using the intersection as normal.

However, the Erawan Shrine remained closed to the public on Tuesday. The Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association announced the shrine will reopen to the public on Wednesday, from 6am to 10pm.
