Coach Milovan Rajevac plans to give chances to youngsters when Thailand play a friendly match with Hong Kong on Thursday.

The Serb has called up several new faces to the team including Supachai Chaided, Sasalak Haiprakhon and Worawut Srisupha for the match at Mongkok stadium.

But he will be without Japan-based stars Teerasil Dangda, Theerathon Bunmathan and Chanathip Songkrasin.

The trio, however, will return to the squad for another warm-up match against Trinidad and Tobago in Suphan Buri on Sunday.

"We will have only two training sessions before the Hong Kong game,'' said Rajevac, whose team arrived in Hong Kong on Tuesday.

"It will be a good opportunity for new players to show their skills. Although this is just a friendly match, we will do our best to get a good result."

Forward Supachai, who had put on an outstanding show with the U23 side at the 2018 Asian Games, hopes to make his presence felt with the senior team.

"I am very happy and excited to be part of the national team. I am a newcomer in the national team and I will try to gel with the senior players as fast as possible,'' said the Buriram United star.

"I have to prove myself if I am good enough for the national team or not."

The two warm-up games are part of champions Thailand's preparations for next month's Suzuki Cup.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong have not yet registered a win this year but they could be dangerous with the arrival of Brazilian-born Giovane Da Silva.

The striker recently received his Hong Kong passport and Hong Kong coach Gary White wasted no time in duly calling up the sharpshooter.
