Samui: THA72 of Thailand suffered their first defeat at the Samui Regatta yesterday.

THA72 finished third on the penultimate day of the competition in the IRC Zero class as Zannekin from Hong Kong claimed their first victory in the series.

In the IRC One, Fujin from Australia returned to winning ways.

East Marine Emagine of Thailand sailed well and finished third in yesterday's race, their best position so far.

The surprise package were Ocean Night, piloted by a Chinese crew, who are competing at the regatta for the first time. They impressed everyone with a solid second place.

Coming into yesterday's race having won six out of six, Lady Bubbly of Australia were beaten by SailQuest Hi Jinks from Thailand.

While their performance is not likely to affect the overall result, SailQuest Hi Jinks were happy to record their first win.

In the Multihulls, Solutions H3O from Thailand retired and this opened the door for Pixalux of Australia to take their first win of the series.

Hosted by the Centara Grand Beach Resort and Samui for the 16th consecutive year, the tournament ends today off Chaweng Beach.
