Thai League 1 leaders Buriram United and third-placed True Bangkok United meet again in the League Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday after their stalemate in the league on Sunday.

Nacer Barazite gave hosts Buriram the lead after 31 minutes only for Pokklaw A-Nan to secure a point for Bangkok United just before the interval at Chang Arena.

It was the fourth successive draw in the league for Buriram, who are now joint leaders with Samut Prakan City.

Buriram's strikers have been misfiring. They could only score one goal in their last four league games although they hammered lowly Rayong 5-0 in the FA Cup during the span.

Ahead of Wednesday's match at Bangkok United's Thammasat Stadium, Buriram chairman Newin Chidchob urged the fans to stay patient.

"We are in a difficult time and we have to be patient,'' Newin said.

"We must stay focused to get through it. It will be another difficult match against Bangkok United after they got a point at our home. Tomorrow, we have to win to qualify for the next round."

Barazite is likely to lead Buriram's strike force with support from midfielder Supachok Sarachat.

Bangkok United assistant coach Watsapol Kaewpaluek said: "We drew with Buriram at the weekend and this match will be played at our home, so we have to win."

Defending champions Chiangrai United face a tricky assignment at BG Pathum.

Chiangrai beat BG Pathum, then Bangkok Glass, in the semi-finals last year.

BG Pathum, who were relegated to Thai League 2 at the end of last season, will look to seek revenge against the Beetles.

In the other two quarter-final matches, Thai League 3 side Ranong United host Thai League 2 club Nongbua Pitchaya and Thai League 1 team PT Prachuap are at home to second-tier Police Tero.
