Thai League 1 leaders BG Pathum will be looking to extend their unbeaten record when they host Buriram United on Saturday.

In the other game, sixth-placed Ratchaburi are at home to second-ranked True Bangkok United.

The two matches have been postponed from last month after a Covid-19 case at Buriram.

"Our players are ready for the match," BG Pathum coach Dusit Chalermsan told a press conference on Friday.

"Our players, who were previously injured, have returned to the squad and are 100 percent fit.

"We are confident that we will win because we are well-prepared. However, if we are to win, we have to stay focussed for the whole game."

Fresh from securing an away win at champions Chiang Rai United last week, Buriram are hoping to seal their third consecutive victory.

Buriram coach Bozidar Bandovic said: "We have won two games in a row and are getting better and better. We are not looking for a draw -- we want to win the game."

Ratchaburi and Bangkok United were joint leaders after four matches when the season was suspended in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But they both have had unconvincing spells since the campaign resumed last month.

Meanwhile, the Thai national team will play a warm-up match with Thai League 2 side Nakhon Pathom United in Nakhon Pathom today.

'Save Thai football'

NBT, Channel 7, Channel 5 and MCOT will show live Thai League 1 matches from Oct 30, PM's Office Minister Anucha Nakasai said.

He was speaking at a press conference to announce the 'Thais Unite to Save Thai Football' project organised by the Public Relations Department (PRD) and the Football Association of Thailand (FAT). "As government representatives, we are proud to play a part in supporting Thai football," Anucha said.

FAT president Somyot Poompunmuang thanked the government for its support.

TrueVisions will show live games only until Oct 25 and the FAT was forced to seek the government's help.

AFC East games in Qatar

Qatar will host East Zone matches for the AFC Champions League after the West Zone games were successfully staged in the Gulf state following a long coronavirus hiatus, the Asian Football Confederation said yesterday.

The East Zone teams, which come from countries including Japan, China and Thailand, will play their remaining matches in Doha from Nov 18-Dec 13. Chiang Rai United are the only Thai team in the event.

AFC general secretary Windsor John praised the "smooth delivery" of the West Zone matches in Qatar.

They wrapped up at the weekend with Iran's Persepolis beating Al Nassr of Saudi Arbia to reach the Dec 19 final.
