Ratchaburi are hoping to do something that no other team in Thai League 1 have been able to achieve so far by handing leaders BG Pathum United their first loss of the season on Friday.

Pathum United are at the top of the league table with 38 points -- four more than Port -- with Ratchaburi being in fourth place with 26 points.

The Dragons manager Robert Procuerer is keen to make the most of home advantage in the clash with the Rabbits, who take the field at Mitr Phol Stadium at 5pm determined to keep their unbeaten record intact.

"This will be a big match for our team because we want to stay in the top four and qualify for the AFC Champions League next season," said Procuerer.

"BG Pathum United are a big team but we want to create a good result.

"We will be sticking to our own style. The most important thing for us will be to avoid conceding many free kicks -- Pathum United players are good at free-kicks.

"Naturally, we are hoping to exploit our strengths and I think we can emerge as the first to beat Pathum United."

BG Pathum coach Dusit Chalermsan admitted that the match could end up being a "boring defensive tussle".

"I agree that our strength is in controlling the game in the midfield and defending meticulously. Many people think our forwards are not at the higher level, but we don't rely on getting the job done through free-kicks. We will do our best to get a result at Ratchaburi," said Dusit.

Also on Friday, PT Prachuap will host former champions Buriram United and Sukhothai will welcome Chonburi.
