Defending champions BG Pathum United take on Ratchaburi on Friday evening, aiming to pick up their first Thai League 1 win of the new season which got underway last Friday.

The Rabbits, boasting a star-studded striking line-up comprising Thailand international Teerasil Dangda and Brazilian forward Diogo Luis Santo, had to be content with a draw last weekend as they were held 1-1 at Chonburi.

Ratchaburi, on the other hand, kicked off the season with a 2-0 victory over newcomers Khon Kaen United.

Pathum United head coach Aurilio Vidmar is dealing with another headache as Brazilian centre-back Victor Cardozo has joined key defender Andres Tunez, who is out of action for two months, on the list of injured players after picking up a knock in the game against Chonburi.

While Yodrak Namuangrak and Sarach Yooyen are suspended for Friday's match and Chartree Chimtalay is facing a fitness check, the Rabbits have the services of stars like Sumanya Purisay, Teerasil and Diogo available to them.

Ratchaburi are expected to start with the same side that earned them three points last weekend, with Steeven Langil, who scored a goal and provided an assist against Khon Kaen, Sanrawat Detchmitr and Derley all being fit.

Pathum United, playing at home, will be eager to get a victory to their credit with the visitors, while promising an all-out effort to win the game, expected to be a bit more cautious.

Former champions Buriram United, who had a disappointing start after a goalless home draw against Suphanburi last week, will also be keen to make amends tomorrow when they face Police Tero in another home game.

Police were off to an impressive start when they drew Port, one of the top title contenders this season, 3-3 in an away game.

Buriram are likely to stick with their feared attacking combination of Suphanat Mueanta, Supachai Chaided and Supachok Sarachat -- all members of the Thai national team -- with Samuel Rosa and Naruebodin Weerawatnodom also being fit to play.

While Buriram head coach, Alexandre Gama will be under pressure to deliver three points from the match, his counterpart Rangsan Vivatchaichok won't mind if his Police Tero could manage another draw.

Dusit Chalermsan, who guided the Rabbits to their maiden league title last season, will also be eager to win his first game as Port coach, but his men could expect a tough battle away at True Bangkok United on Sunday evening.

Bangkok United edged newcomers Chiangmai United 2-1 last week.
