Former champions SCG Muang Thong United pulled off a fantastic late comeback on Sunday night when they rallied from a three-goal deficit to tie visiting Chonburi 3-3 in a Thai League 1 encounter.

Chonburi netted their first goal in the 23rd minute through Yoo Byung-Soo and strikes by Worachit Kanitsribumphen and Gidi Kanyuk after the hour mark gave them a massive 3-0 advantage.

However, the Kirins turned the tables on the visitors in a space of just 11 minutes.

Willian Popp was on target for the hosts in 72nd minute and Picha Autra further reduced the gap shortly afterwards before Adisak Kraisorn converted a penalty to steal a point for the Kirins.

Meanwhile, hosts Bangkok United did all the legwork but could only manage a 1-1 draw with Port.

Prolific Nelson Bonilla gave Port the lead after 30 minutes, but Bangkok United did not take long to get even with Vander Luis delivering the leveller shortly before the break.

Port are without a win after playing two matches under new coach Dusit Chalermsan.

In another game, Samut Prakan City edged newcomers Nongbua Pitchaya 1-0 at home.

In Saturday night's late game, Buriram United's youth brigade hit the mark to give the former champions their first win of the season, defeating 10-man Police Tero 3-1 in a convincing manner.

Ekachai Sumre put police ahead in the 44th minute but Supachok Sarachat equalised for Thunder Castle in the first-half injury time. Supachai Chaided (65th minute) and Suphanat Mueanta (81st) then scored to secure three points for the hosts.

Buriram coach Alexandre Gama said after the match: "The victory has relieved a lot of pressure. I think fans can expect a better show from us this season."
