Thailand have picked Wishaya Trongcharoenchaikul and Kasidit Samrej as their singles players for their two-day Davis Cup World Group 2 first round battle with Denmark, which starts on Friday at Sydbank Arena in Kolding.

The Thai team -- comprising Wishaya, Palaphoom Kovapitukted, Kasidit, Yuttana Charoenphon and Thantub Suksumrarn -- had their last training session at the venue on Thursday.

Thailand captain Tanakorn Srichaphan praised the arrangements put in place by the host nation.

"Denmark have organised the things very well and both teams had no problems at all with the training schedules and other logistical matters," said Tanakorn.

"We had a meeting and also talked to the players before selecting the players for the singles and doubles matches," he added.

"We have decided to field Wishaya and Kasidit as our two singles players.

"For the doubles match-up, we will have Thailand No.1 Wishaya team up with Palaphoom."

Wishaya, ranked No.767 in the world, will face No.1,097-ranked Christian Sigsgaard in the first singles.

It will be followed by the singles clash between Kasidit and August Holmgren. The host country's Holmgren is ranked No.905, while Kasidit is No.1,136 in the world.

Thailand and Denmark have never met before in the Davis Cup.

The singles battles are scheduled to be played today with the doubles and reverse singles slated for tomorrow.

Today's first singles match will start at 9pm (Thai time) and tomorrow's doubles encounter will get underway at 5pm (Thai time).

All matches will be played using a best-of-three sets format.
